About

We built the tool we wished existed.

Applying to medical school is a life-defining process most people run on a color-coded spreadsheet and a group chat. The dates are real. The essays are real. The letters are real. But the way we're all keeping track of them is duct tape — three tabs, a Google Doc, a Reddit thread from 2019, and the quiet hope that nothing important is silently on fire.

We started MedPath because that shouldn't be what a career in medicine feels like on the way in. The applicants we've watched go through this are smart, exhausted, and mostly not panicking about the work — they're panicking about not being sure what work matters this afternoon.

A few beliefs shape everything here. Calm beats pressure. Anxiety is not a productivity tool, and we won't manufacture urgency to keep you on the page. Coaching beats automation. A generated essay isn't your essay, and it's not what schools are evaluating. Your voice is the whole point. The best thing software can do here is give you the time and clarity to sound like yourself.

So MedPath is opinionated about what it won't do. It won't write your personal statement. It won't invent statistics about your odds. It won't gamify a burnout cycle. It won't sell your data — not to advisors, not to schools, not to model training pipelines. What it will do is take the twenty tabs on your desktop and give you back a short, honest list, and one calm sentence about why each thing on it matters right now.

That's the tool we wanted, back when we were the ones with the spreadsheet. We hope it's the one you needed too.
