The agreement, in plain English.

These terms are the agreement between you and [Legal Entity Name] ("MedPath," "we," "us") for use of the MedPath website and application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of this agreement.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide about yourself, and for keeping your account credentials private. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You own everything you create in MedPath: your essays, drafts, Story Bank entries, notes, and application data. Nothing here transfers ownership of your work to us.

You grant us only the narrow permission we need to operate the service for you — to store your content, display it back to you, process it to generate your plan, back it up, and send it to our AI provider when you specifically ask for feedback. That permission exists to run the product, and it ends when you delete your content or your account.

We do not use your content to train AI models, publish it, or share it with anyone you have not invited.

MedPath's AI advisor is designed to coach: to ask you questions, identify where a draft is unclear or unsupported, check whether you have actually answered a prompt, and help you plan a revision. It is deliberately not built to write essays for you.

Your application must be your own work. AMCAS, AACOMAS, and individual schools require you to certify that the writing you submit is yours. You are responsible for what you submit, and for complying with the rules of every application service and school you apply to. Using any tool — ours or anyone else's — to submit writing that is not genuinely your own can jeopardize your application.

The advisor's feedback is generated by an AI model. It can be wrong, and it can miss things. Treat it as one perspective to weigh, not an authority, and never as a substitute for advice from your pre-health advisor or the schools themselves.

MedPath is an independent planning tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the AAMC, AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, or any medical school or admissions committee.

We do not promise admissions results. No tool can, and we will never claim otherwise. MedPath helps you organize and prioritize your cycle; what happens with your applications depends on your work and on decisions made by schools.

Verify deadlines and requirements with the source. School requirements, prompts, character limits, and deadlines change, and information in MedPath — whether you entered it, imported it, or it arrived with a "needs verification" flag — may be incomplete or out of date. Official school and application-service publications are always authoritative. You are responsible for meeting your own deadlines.

You can invite other people to review parts of your application. When you do, you are choosing to share that content with them, and you are responsible for who you invite. Reviewers may only access what you have shared and may not use it for any purpose other than giving you feedback. You can revoke access at any time.

Please don't:

• Share your account with someone else or resell access to MedPath.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or anyone else's personal information without their consent.
• Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or circumvent its security or access controls.
• Use MedPath to produce work you will submit as your own when it isn't.
• Use MedPath for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.

MedPath has a free plan and a paid Plus subscription. Plus is billed in advance on a recurring basis at the price shown when you subscribe, and renews until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Plus access through the end of the period you already paid for. Your Plus-only content is preserved in read-only form on the free plan, not deleted.

If something goes wrong — you were charged in error, or the product didn't work for you — email us. We would rather refund you than argue about it.

We may change prices, but not without telling existing subscribers by email in advance, and never mid-term on a period you have already paid for.

We work to keep MedPath available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the service or a significant feature you depend on, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.

MedPath is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that reminders will always be delivered, or that any information in the product is accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost opportunities or application outcomes.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations don't apply to you.

You can stop using MedPath and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or creates risk for other users, and we will tell you why. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid subscription time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [County, State] — except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court.

If we make a material change to these terms, we will update this page and notify you by email before it takes effect. If you keep using MedPath after that, the updated terms apply.
